I currently have a 2023 1290 Super Adventure S which I love. I have no issues with power but I would like a little bit more smoothness and a better quickshift gear change. I talked to a local remap company who said they do not remap KTMs of the newer variety as it can upset all the other activated options. Plus if KTM update software at service time it will cancel any remapping. I have had bikes remapped by Hilltop in the past, but due to recent rumours/accusations I wont go there again...unless anyone can tell me different.

Has anyone had their KTM remapped anywhere and if so did yo unotice any improvements?

What do you mean by "tell me different"?

Were you happy with the results on the other bikes you took there?

Having had my curent 1290 (MY2018) sine January 2019 and covering nearly 23500 miles in that time, I haven't bothered remaping it after I took the GSA to Hilltop. I love my 1290 for all its lumps and bumps. Call it character. I sooner spend that £350 of a go go juice and have a bloody good time doing it.

Had my 1190R remapped by Geoff at Hilltop (had 2previous bikes done by him).
Like you I wasn’t interested in more power - was after smoother running.
Very pleased with the result - can’t believe how low it will go (eg 30 in third ) and pull away smoothly. Didn’t bother with dyno run.

Didn’t cost me that much! :D

most people who are scammed or conned, initially are happy until they know otherwise.

BSD in Peterborough and Dave Woods racing will both remaps 1290 SAR/S models, considering going to one myself., IIRC somewhere around Leeds is another place that does them, look for proper dyno detup and not some "off the shelf" flash.

CJS Racing worth a call as well, great results on other bikes from him for myself and people I know.
