1290 Super Duke test ride

Looks like it got double sprocket bolts for the eXtra torque. Have you got a space in the house reserved or have you ordered the dust cover to keep all that fine wood dust off the beast ? That will be a lot of fun :green gri

Dusty bikes...occupational hazard I'm afraid :thumb2

Whilst picking up my seats I noticed the 1290 Super Duke SE hiding in the corner...... what a machine... too small for me by the looks of it, but a work of art for sure.. the detailing is fantastic.... you can see where the cash went....

That's good to hear. I've not seen one yet.

you can see where the cash went....

Down the fucking swanny...that's where the cash has gone! :augie

I'm surprised you've not physically seen one yet?

My first thoughts were WOW  then I realised they'd painted the front mudguard and radiators guards in KTM Racing Ginger :blast

I test rode the non SE one. The SE has only just arrived in the shops in blighty in the last couple of days as far as I know. I wasn't concerned as the SE is basically a stock one that has crashed into the Powerparts catalogue with added ginge. What's not to like?

Gotta disagree, the metallic 'ginger' looks lovely to me, ties in perfectly with the anodised yokes, bits'n'bobs and lifts the 'normal' orange perfectly :thumb2

Andres

I agree, I like the same colour on the stock 1190. Shouldn't work but in the flesh looks really nice. All subjective of course.

That number plate holder carbuncle thing will be going tout suite. Of course it would then ideally need a small number plate. I feel like a twenty year old again. I wonder can you still get Micron or Piper pipes? :bounce1

The tail tidy is a pricey bit of kit !

The full titanium Akra is a thing of wonderment that you can hear coming from the other side of the moon but qt £1800 it stands need to be but i do believe you get a new engine map included in that price

The R&G tail tidy is not too bad price wise and is being fitted when I pick the bike up. The SE comes with the Akra silencer. It would seem you cant just buy the Akra headers and mid section on their own. I'll be buggered if I going to pay near on a couple of grand for a pipe though. All joking aside I'm quite happy not making a load of noise nowadays anyway. It's wearing on a journey and just pisses people off. I'm getting old obviously.
