Congratulations,

Without doubt the best looking and a good price reduction makes it extra interesting. However, how about taking it for a ride in dirty/wet conditions please and posting the pictures again so we can see what protection it provides ?

Terry

You mean you want me to DELIBRATELY get my bike dirty........

........:yelrotflm :yelrotflm :yelrotflm :yelrotflm :yelrotflm :yelrotflm

Seriously, though, when I post the final images on Motorrad Concepts website I'll certainly include a 'grubby' shot......

(.......that'll give me time to learn how to 'spray mud' in Photoshop......)

Cheers

Of course, if your bike is going to be off the road for a while, Chris, I guess you might need someone with a running example to undertake further product testing, and to be available for publicity photos......etc. ;)

nws

are nws serious. it looks like the design was drawn on an etchasketch(spelt wrong)
i find it hard to believe that i could be so concerned about road crap to buy this nws hugger.

I'm aware that Big Lee has put some well intentioned effort in to getting the NWS hugger a reality.

Shame that it's not all that was hoped for.

I'd just like to say thanks anyway!

If we receive another 20 or so orders by Monday AM, we will seriously consider investing in at least one more hugger mould.

This will have the effect of (a) shortening the wait for new customers and (b) hasten the fulfilment of outstanding orders.

I'll leave that thought with you.....

Thanks

My emails just been sent for yours, Dutch - no contest on looks!
:D

Dutchman, consider yourself emailed with another order.

Very disapointed with the NWS armadillo. Not good at all.

I've emailed you, put me on the list, the NWS one is deeply unattractive....

I think that these are similar to the products that were originally produced for, and rejected, by Mottoradconcepts.

I'm not quite sure what the problem was, suffice to say that they were withdrawn from sale by the aforementioned company.

Hi Dutchman, how much does your hugger weigh (roughly)? I'm just curious because the NWS looks very solid, but very heavy, and I guess it all adds to unsprung weight.

I'd say they both add a negligible amount of unsprung weight to the bike, relative to the paralever etc. One actually catches crud though, the appears to have no other use than imitating an armadillo crawling up your back wheel. Take your pick:D

Hi TC...

Although the final Production Hugger has yet be weighed, we anticipate the weight to be very close to 900 gramms.

For your info, the rear "Crap-catcher" and plastic "Shock-Shroud", which both need to be removed to fit our Hugger, weigh a combined 850 gramms....

HTHs

CC

Thanks CC. I realised after I'd asked the question that having the crap catcher hanging off the rear end of the paralever, as far from the swingarm pivot as possible, would not be helping rear suspension compliance.

Mark me down as another purchaser of the Motorrad Concepts hugger!
