I found that the left(exhaust)side pannier was not as secure as the right one.
Problem was that the latch at the front could rotate about 10 degress or so relative to the case. And this seemed to be because the rivets were not tight enough.
No problem, as my dealer was happy to replace the pannier. But the new one had the same fault-along with several others in his stock. And when we looked carefully we found that only three of the four holes holding the latch to the case had rivets in place. BM are being advised and we await a solution. But check yours guys.
I could solve the problem, and even improve the construction in a half hour or so, but feel that those nice people in Bayern should do it instead.
