I will probably be getting myself a 12GSA around Sep time.

A lot of my riding is commuting to and from work along some lovely B roads/lanes. These roads are quite narrow and often have loose or muddy surfaces, but they are in the national speed limit, so good lights at night are very important if you want to maintain a fair rate of progress.

Are the additional OEM lights up to the job? I asked Paul at Bahnstormer on Sat and he wasn't sure if they were really meant to be fog lights or head lights. Perhaps someone here could shed some light (Im really sorry:o ).

Hopefully, a BTBR and Migsel based solution could be available by then, would it be prudent to wait for that rather than speccing the OEMs?

Cheers,

Mike

The oem fogs work well but truly are crap quality, but when they're converted to HID....oh baby...:clap

The beemer one's just look nice and tidy though, but 200 nicker is a lot for something that just looks nice. Your choice!

If you want quality and longevity and don't fancy the HID option, go with the Hella's.

Thanks.

I've read up on the HID conversion thread now and I think that's for me!

I probably will go with the OEM fogs as well as I do think that having that light 'triangle' formed by the two fogs and dipped light makes you much more noticeable than just a single, more powerful light.

I've just bought a 1200GSA from Bahnstormer with OEM spot/fog lights fitted. They work very well I could even say they are brilliant (what pun?!). I had a 100 watt bulb on my 1100GS which was very good but the lights on the Adventure are better in my opinion.

I've got a 12GSA with the EOM fog lights and I'm well impressed.

Miles better than any other bike I've owned.

Suggest you give the standard ones a try and see what you think before shelling out for aftermarket ones

Foglights

I ride with them on all the time, but the bastards still pull out in front of me.

Perhaps it has something to do with that Scotch mist I've been told about
