Hi All, I'm new here, so hello firstly.

I've seen a few pics knocking around of forum members that appear to have a screen extension attached to the stock one. I'm 6'3" tall, and even with the screen at its highest, I still seem to get a bit of buffeting around the head from the wind. Wearing an enduro helmet as things are, is a definate no no for me.

Are there any official screen extenders available anywhere? Or were they 'home made' jobbies?

Cheers

Define "official"...

I'm 6'6", and had a similar problem (my Caberg's a noisy lid) - based on comments on ukgser I picked up a Laminar Lip from here which now lets me ride visor-up happily at up to motorway speeds.

If you do go for one, pay attention to the fitting instructions, particularly the bit where the adhesive should be kept moderately warm when it cures (well, moderately for winter, anyway), as otherwise it can apparently not get to full strength. They do offer free bolts, if you're not happy with an adhesive solution, but I didn't want to drill the screen.

That looks like the one! Cheers Mr Hedgehog!

6'2"
Declit, Toutatech Clip on, Torbinators... Very smooth.
Do a search for the above....

You get buffeted because you have the screen at its highest position. Set it at a slightly lower position, and you'll have much cleaner air flowing around the top of your helmet. (I'm 6'4")

Great advice...thanks:thumb

Which 'notch' do you have the screen set at?

I'm same height and have same problem, however on searching for suitable solutions came across this, love to know if it works. I would never buy one with out a vickers MG behind it, but the theory is great.

I too had the very same problem. I went for the Laminar Lip and it has transformed the ride, I can ride with my visor up on the motorways.

Get the nylon bolts they offer and fix it to the screen permenantly its an easy job, the 3M stickys they offer are crap.

You get buffeting coz the vacuum casued behind the screen at a straigh up position and it kinda defeats the purpose of a big screen tilting it back.

Just add the torbinators and de-clit so you get some airflow below the screen. This get's rid of all buffeting up to about 120mph

Cheers for all the feedback guys:beerjug: And thanks for not ripping me to shreds for asking a tedious question:hack...phew...

Gonna try dropping the screen a tad to see if that helps at all, if not, will be spending some dosh me tinks...
