Here I am in the middle of Hungary and would you believe it, my bloody headlight bulb has blown FFS

These bikes really are sh1t......................

I think you need to contact a dealership for that, the on-board computer will need a firmware up-grade for a new headlamp bulb

Mine blew on Saturday after 12 months and 10k miles.

I thought about ringing BMW recovery to see if it should be recovered and taken back to the dealer for a warranty repair but, in the end, decided to replace the bulb myself.

And so, about £3.50 lighter, and 5 minutes of buggeration, job was done.

And I always thought that I was crap at mechanics!

The headlight buld in my FJ1200 lasted 10 years, then blew each year after that.
The offside front sidelight bulb on the 7 year old car comes back on if I hit the light.
The lights in the house last longer if switched with a dimmer switch.
The grass has started to grow again.

Perhaps we should all call BMW recovery for every minor problem then perhaps we might get a full tool kit with every new bike again.

Thought about doing the same but it's a Philips 50% Brighter bulb and so wasn't sure if it was covered by the warranty

If you're using the 'motorway.....the are no fuel stations on it..... be prepared!

Mmmmm..................no petrol stations, so we discovered, found one after turning off, just in the nick of time
