How common is this engine issue? I’d enquired about a cheap low mileage 2 year old Triple Black at a used bike dealer that I thought was perfect & then I discovered that it hadn’t had it’s running service or 1st service and as a result no BMW warranty

These types of things are why it often makes sense buying a few years into production or the last release of a model line before they move on to an entire new platform. The 1250 stands out here as probably a better purchase given the context.

Not to me at the time but they picked it up at the inspection and recommended a letter topup it had only done 600 miles.
