1300 wheel degredation

I frequently clean my bikes. Regular cleaning stops the build up of crud. Snow foam, rinse, PH neutral shampoo, dry then go around the bike with Vulcanet wipes which help lift any residual marks or stubborn small particles and give a gentle buff with clean microfibre cloth. I don't agree with his comments about ACF50. I use it on fork stanchions and engine casings and the frame. I've never experienced any "bleaching" of plastics wiped over with it. I ACF the bike lightly for the grottiest months of the year but don't leave it on for more than 3 or 4 weeks before the next clean/reapplication and anything that has stuck to it comes off easily with the next wash with casings and metalwork coming up like new again. A little silicon oil is dabbed on the fork seals now and again to keep them supple, with any excess cleaned off. Have never needed a ceramic coat on a bike and my current bike (4 years old) still looks like brand new. The car's a different matter. I have ceramic coated that but it's starting to wear off after two years. Every other wash I apply Reload 2.0 to the car body and this helps maintain the finish a lot longer and has prevented tar spots and minor scratches and swirls. Brilliant product.
