R1300GS Trophy, 13.9k miles, purchased May24. Now in for 13K service and had a brake pad worn down to metal (I never even noticed) and then told it needs two new discs. I accept if pad through to metal then disc gets damaged but for the other one to also be "scored" I felt wasn't acceptable on a bike that cost £23k nearly a year ago.
Also..... I opted for the forged enduro wheels so the discs are costing over £600 to replace!!
I've made a "plea" to BMW

Just one pad would indicate to me that a piston had seized or the pad was faulty. This should absolutely be a warranty issue

And tell them to sort it. F*** their bullshit stories. If they refuse tell them you have a lawyer mate who will be in touch and also tell them you’ll post their names all over any social media you can. I fucking hate dealer wankers wherever they are whatever brand they sell that are arrogant twats.

There is one in Holland. Motor Houtrust in The Hague
The biggest BMW dealer in the country and they are really arrogant. I called them out on some bullshit warranty story issue they tried out on me and when I asked for a quote on the new 1300 Adventure I have just purchased they were 4K in Euros higher than most of the others. So I went to every dealer in NL quoting this. They found out and challenged me why. My reply was pretty rude. I called them out as being arrogant and said I would do my best to discourage all bikers I know from using them. All went quiet until they found out I ran a club locally of more than 20 BMW bikers and their manager invited me to “come and have a chat”
I told them to shove it up their asses

Harsh maybe but total wankers

Rant over

When I had brake issues with the 1300 the dealer was good , it was the factory that were useless and unhelpful . Got rid of the bike eventually (4k) as couldn’t get a solution. Went back to Ducati .
