17" wheels

There are several different options for 17 inch wheels on the LC.

1) Kineo
2) HPS
3) Alpina
4) K Wheels (needs some small mods, uses 320 rotors, abs ring)
5) R1200R - RS etc LC models (direct fit, again needs spacers on the 320mm discs) - There is a kit available from Rennkuh
6) KITE (these are also provided by Wunderlich)
7) Borrani from R1200R LC (again some small mods)
8) Woody's handmade

I have already on order some black alpina's to suit my trible black LCA, so I will report back after testing!

hows it gone with the new Wheels? thinking of getting a set

In the end I got 17" wheels. Attached to a KTM1290GT! Have to admit that the GS was good on 19" wheels and Roadsmart 3s, who knows what proper rubber and wheels might have been like. Ultimately though I realised when following (chasing) my mate on his hypermotard in the hills above Barcelona last year that I wanted something lighter and more sporty.

Disagree sorry , travelled all over the Pyrennese many times and the BM was not fazed out of its place . Twisty roads , in the company of KTM 990s , Aprilla Dorso Duros , Ducati Hyper ..... the bm was never out of its zone .
But tyres only lasted 1800 miles...

Agree, a good pilot on a gs will stick with anything in the twisty stuff, it's only on the straight bits they lose out but you wind em in come a bend, you can sit quite leisurely on the gs and make quick progress, I think I can cover the same road quicker and smoother on a gs than I can on the GT, the GT feels manic like it wants to kill me but it ain't half entertaining and has that little something the gs doesn't have, but in some ways has too much power for certain rds.

Exactly, no issues with corner speed at all on a GS but the punch out of the corner is where it gets beaten

Mind you I had full panniers and a topbox while chasing this guy.
