MJB racing - walsall

He will build a new excel type rim onto your existing hub, new stainless spokes, and powdercoat your hub for £120 - £140 depending on the wheel.

Sound bloke

im getting him to do both my wheels for my rallye bike.

Thanks mate, just googling him now. I may pop down this week and see what he says.

Let's see if he can do a BMW hub:augie

Only a few people in the world can do a BMW hub

I can think of...................

Woodys

Devon Rim Co

Tried all the above before I went to Woodies, oh and Hagon they all refused.
The problem is getting someone capable or willing to drill a rim... NO Excel rims supplied to UK are undrilled Wan800akars. BUT you can get SAXON:blast

Have just run the same scenario but with the R100GS, ended up picking a second hand rear wheel to tide me over, until I can get a matching pair from Woodies.:thumb

EXCEL and WOODIES the best a man can get:bow

Thought so:D

I researched all the rim options, when I was contemplating a HP2

It is very specialist................Talon (UK Excel Rim importers) weren't helpful and said it would take 12 months to get an undrilled 18" rim into UK (basically......shove it) and get one from the USA.................so Devon Rim could drill it and sort it.

Woody's are expensive but I believe the best

MJP supplies a guy called "auto parts direct" or something like that anyway, on ebay. He sells loads of rims and full wheel sets, including undrilled rims.

I spoke to mjp a while back about doing an 18" rim for the gs and he reckoned he could do it back then.

Best to take your hub too him to let him have a looksee.

But there are plenty of tubeless options available, from the likes of mavic - aprilia sxv owners like them.

ill shortly be ordering a set of nuetec tubeless rim converter thingys, so i can run my cr500 tubeless :)

hi guys !
i have a holan , or touratech wheel .
it is the same italian maker that does it for all.
chiaravalli .

the wheel is just fantastic , i think you can same at least 4 kg ffrom the original.
it is a bit expencive , but it is really worth .
i would not go through the route of keeping the original hub , because that's the thing that has the most weight .
