I bought this in January and set about fettling it. There is a thread I did regarding bringing it back to life, so I won’t bore you all with the finer details again..

Anyway cut to the chase, I have ridden the bike a few times, and it rides well, has an oil leak from the pushrod tubes, new seals needed, quite common I think, but apart from that, is OK!

Started to rationalise what I’ve got, and lovely as it may be, I know I will now stick it in the corner of the garage and just look at it occasionally, so it’s going to be sold.

It was registered in 1950, matching numbers bike (engine, frame, reg no). I haven’t a clue about mileage, speedo was refurbished by the previous owner and set to zero, it’s showing 35 miles now, all of which I’ve done.

These were 10k a few years ago, bike we all know the story….but, prices will recover, the classic markets have been up and down before..

Advertisement on Car & Classic listed for 6500, on this site I’d take £6000.

PM me if you want to know more, happy to have a chat about it!

Lovely stock image of an Es2, that.
I had one back in the 70's well sort of, bought as an ugly chopper conversion with ape hangers, banana seat, the forks had been raked some, handled like sh*t, looked terrible.
Painted in bright yellow by previous owner, I got older brother to help me paint it Metallic Purple, I know, but for a young man of 18 and a passion for wanting to copy actors seen on the Easy Rider movie, I was in my own small bubble.
After experiencing strong side blasts of winds on a 30 mile run, travelling basically at a steep angle sideways, I decided if I make it home too sell next day, which I did.
And No, although wish I had but didn't take any snaps of it, just so glad to get rid.

Rationalise = a verb that could mean many different things, dependent upon context.

When it comes to the Morris workshop I suspect it means to clear space in order to make way for more future projects.

The Norton looks a treat Steve ......... GLWTS.

Yes you’re on to me Ken! I am going to let 3-4 go and replace with 1. I’ll keep the Vincent, Goldie, S7, BMW R100 GS and the Garelli. I’d like a BMW RnineT as an everyday…

What a lovely machine 👍 😎
