I bought this in January and set about fettling it. There is a thread I did regarding bringing it back to life, so I won’t bore you all with the finer details again..
Anyway cut to the chase, I have ridden the bike a few times, and it rides well, has an oil leak from the pushrod tubes, new seals needed, quite common I think, but apart from that, is OK!
Started to rationalise what I’ve got, and lovely as it may be, I know I will now stick it in the corner of the garage and just look at it occasionally, so it’s going to be sold.
It was registered in 1950, matching numbers bike (engine, frame, reg no). I haven’t a clue about mileage, speedo was refurbished by the previous owner and set to zero, it’s showing 35 miles now, all of which I’ve done.
These were 10k a few years ago, bike we all know the story….but, prices will recover, the classic markets have been up and down before..
Advertisement on Car & Classic listed for 6500, on this site I’d take £6000.
