1953 annual motorcycle holiday round Europe

Really enjoyed reading that. Brilliant :clap :clap :clap

My lady particularly liked it because of of the stops to brew tea by the side of the road...

Reminds me of my dad, in 1977, all of us driving in an old white Peugeot estate car up the Wadis to St Catherine's Monastery in the Sinai Desert...

When the heat got too much he'd pull over, get an old Primus stove & a kettle out onto the side of the road, and brew up some tea.

As a matter of interest

How did you find that, or did you just stumble across it?

I never seem to find good stuff like that:(

Probably found it here;

Missed that thread Sorry for double posting. It is worth double exposure though!

Received the link from a mate who bought his Africa Twin from Paul.

I think there is also a thread on ADV and, as Paul says, there have been over 300000 hits in the last few weeks!

Ties worn :clap

I myself wouldn`t be seen riding a motorbike without a nice shirt and neck aparal, bow tie or carvat

I`m British

You could start a whole new trend.....the 'TWAT TIE' as an accessory to the Twat Suit:ChrisKelly

Great report, fantastic photos :clap

Dammit, I can remember most of the cars and bikes in the photos from when they were new :augie and I recently found a photo of myself riding my Matchless 650 wearing a tweed jacket (and a Bell helmet) :rob
