old boy clearing out his garage has a R90s in bits, I've seen it and its all there,
Guy wants me to make him an offer.
What would be a fair offer ?
Any Ideas??
matching numbers , original, load of spares etc blah blah blah
Cheers

Over last few years I’ve sold 3 as non runners in need of resto,
They sold for between £4K and £5k.
But they were in one piece so to speak,
That said, the market is pretty stagnant at the moment,
I guess it also depends on what you intend doing with it and if there are any other interested parties.

Why was it taken apart? It might be all there but might be a big pile of bills to fix. JJH

Also,if your intention is to restore it to a high standard you need to be very thorough in checking that it is all there and the parts are in serviceable condition as certain parts are getting very rare,
Clocks, fuel tank, switch gear ,unobtainable (read v.v.expensive)

If you were to get it roadworthy so that you could ride it and nurture it as part of your collection, restoring it from there, the value judgement is kind of irrelevant. If you were in it to sell it, it becomes more important. So if the former, offer £2k and see where the negotiations lead you. If the latter, offer £2k but don't go higher. This is the bottom end judgement; if he really has all the parts and they are all in good condition and you have done a few restorations so you can see from experience the amount of work required, you could dial-in more of an offer. But you really haven't given any detail.

(PS I have done a few airheads in the past few years, amongst them a keeper R90S and the last one a 'sell' R90S). Mikeyboy is spot on in his advice, too.

I think the original assessment of £1k would be my final offer on it.
No way of knowing how much work required on engine, gearbox etc…… why was it taken apart?

1k would be if I wanted to rebuild it to keep…… otherwise, leave it to someone else

I sold this a few years ago for £2k and there was lots missing and wrong parts

if you had some pictures it would help
