The former member of this forum known as "Daithi", praise be his name, is running the 1st Annual Irish National Motorcycle Rally on the weekend of August 31st / September 1st in aid of Motorcycling Ireland

It's a non-competitive event & you select the points you want to visit & the order you wish to do them in. You can travel alone or with the rest of your club/friends.
Anyone signed up will be sent a GPX file of 24 waypoints around the island of Ireland well in advance of the weekend. You must visit 12 points across the 2 days & obtain a time & date stamped receipt for any purchase (fuel, food, coffee, etc). A photo of these along with your club membership card & Participation Pass, sent to [email protected] after the event will earn you a Finishers certificate, t-shirt & stickers commemorating this momentous event

The event webpage is here

The FaceBook group is here, please join of you wish to be kept up to date prior to the event. And feel free to share the page with anyone who might be interested
https://m.facebook.com/groups/2027480254300260/

If you want to be kept up to date you'll need to email your number to [email protected] & ask to be put in the WhatsApp group

Don't be asking me any questions cos I'm only a Level 3 (the lowest) minion

Hi Lads, UKGSER is the first group to see the registration page, this promises to be the most fun for the least money event ever.
The Challenge is, over two days you must get to "any" 12 of the 24 Checkpoints in any order and on any route you choose, you'll
then get yer finishers Tee-shirt and Stickers posted out to ya....... 2 day event, teeshirt and stickers all for a measly €20.
Any questions just ask. (y)

Let the fun begin: Register here.

Any of you lads got any interest in this ?

Signed up last week

Hi Blobbs, things are filling up nicely now, I was getting a bit worried.

I'll be at the Rosscarbery (West Cork) Checkpoint for the whole weekend
if you make it down this far.

I’m chuckling here. I recently planted a seed with my wife, suggesting I get a pass out to cross the Irish Sea and take a trip somewhere new.

And along comes an excuse 😀

I’ve done the English & Scottish rallies a few times so am familiar with the route plotting.

The sign on seems overly complex, but I’m sure there’s reason behind it.

Will knock up some Basecamp plans in the hope of getting a pass out.

You're right there, the registration process has an extra step (for the Participation Pass)
but the event is a fundraiser to help cover the Insurance for MCI... The 3 steps are at the
bottom of the webpage. www.nationalrally.ie facebook page to join is..... HERE
I'm hoping this will get very big numbers participating.... the tee-shirt will have a boxer on it too...;)

……….sorry I’ve crashed and burned with the “mandatory” REVOLUT payment system .

I’ll have to figure that out tomorrow
If ya want to do a credit transfer, the IBAN for Club membership is in the middle of the webpage and Entry IBAN is at the bottom...

Having done 1500 miles in the last two weeks, I’m on the boat going east across the Irish Sea…. It’s a 350 mile drive from Fishguard home…. I’d love to do it, but I’ll pass this year.

Saving my brownie points for a bigger run later in Sept.
Maybe next year

Hi everyone Susan from Loughshinny is on for the first 40 minutes and then I go into my talk about the National Rally... deffo worth a listen, feel free to skip to 39min 30sec in.
