After meeting everyone at the Alton Cafe, the plan was to attack Water Lane first, oh and yes going up it. Now i seem to notice a pattern here, a group of guys organise a offroad trip, i turn up and what a surprise im the only GSA rider...(but do i care, do i F#*k, let`s have it.)

The video of the water lane step is pretty good. Also several good pictures of Pinkytiff having a rest, (strange place only thing, hey pinkytiff :blast)

And im sorry cant remeber your name but the fella on the suzuki about to take a dip in a lovely smelly wet hole..nice:thumb2

Thanks all for helping me with the gsa up some of the lanes.:thumb2

Met this bunch of rag-tag hooligans at Alton today..

The infamous Water Lane step - This is getting tougher each time I visit - The Beavers put together a makeshift ramp so we could have a chance of getting up.

The step caught a few unlucky ones out.

The best bit was watching Darren (Horse) manhandle the beast up the step - Full beans, the whole bike was airborne with the front wheel a long way up. (missed the action pic and only got the aftermath!))

I think everyone will agree that Horse should win the 'Best Rider of the Day' award - :bow:bow (on the first lane too!)

We blitzed around so many trails, I have no idea where we ended up. Great leading Dave. Some really nice ones which I am going to have to have another go at.

After a stop-off for lunch, half the group had decided to head home, but the foolish few stayed to head up onto Butser Hill (Didn't realise it was so high - there's still snow up there!)

Pinky (Dave) was obviously quite tired, he kept wanting to have a lie down - Counted about 15 times :blast:blast:augie:D

We did a fair few lanes after Butser - However, the river bed lane had a few interesting steps to contend with (thanks for the push Brian) - Brian decided that he would follow Darren's approach and gas it, with spectacular results!

Real good crack today. A great laugh. I peeled off about 3.30pm to head for home as the only lanes left were the ones I was most familiar with. However, got within 5 miles from home and found I too had a brand new nail in my tyre. Some b*gger must have scattered them around the trails as both Phil and I got punctures. Rang the wife to bring the trailer and eventually got home around 5pm.

Enjoyed the day, good group, right speed. Brilliant. Looking forward to the next one.

Looks like a fun day - I will endeavor to make the next one - I was just far too jetlagged this morning :(

stick em on photobucket, then link to them. Or email them to me, I will stick them up.

Pinkytiff was apparently doing a u-turn...(really dave...!)

RichieS the hand out, amazing how the survival instinct kicks in.

Never had landslides in that area before :blast

Just managed to muster enough energy to get to the PC! A fab day was had by all I reckon, keep your eyes open for the next date. Thanks to DXWalt for putting together & leading this route, well done mate it was brill. I may even sort the shock so I can touch the ground next time :augie.

Darren - Who ever said the GS isn't a capable off road tool needs to watch that video of one in Horse's hands! Absolutely brilliant, the trajectory had the rear wheel at least 6" off the ground before re-entry took place!

BH! I can get my GSA to launch itself into the air like that - I just have issues landing it on both wheels afterwards :D

I'm selling my 450 but hope to join you guys for another ride-out soon on the 1200. Don't think I'll be riding it like Horse rides his though

thanks pinkytiff (dave) really enjoyed the day, probably good i didnt do the late afternoon snowy bit, :blast

cheers for all the comments on how to make a big `ol beasty fly...:thumb2
