Great run up (and hame). That road fae Luncarty a' the way up to Rannoch Station has tae be as good as any south of...well, anywhaur (when you get the weather for a good view).

I beg to differ. The surface and undulations of the road in question was fine for those riding GS type motorcycles. Consider for one moment, one who chose the wrong motorcycle for the conditions and suffered shoulder and knee discomfort for much of the journey.
The alternative road, the A9 would have sufficed.
