Anyone had this... my bike has done it a few times now... accelerate hard in 1st, start to go to 2nd and it kind of dies for a second..,. like you've not got it into gear right...

I have shift assist but have done the change using the clutch (or intended to), maybe its cutting at the end of 1st and maybe I'm putting a bit of pressure on the gear shift ready to change?...
not sure....

Its not the front lifting but its a similar kind of thing where it would slam you down IYKWIM... or maybe the bike thinks its lifting?... in 'Road'

Anyone else had this?

Are you sure you’ve not just hit the Rev limiter?

It’s a bit abrupt.

Try it with TC off, does sound like the TC cutting in. As soon as the wheel lifts it cuts the power with TC on, the wheel barely lifts so you won't get a thump back down with a normal wheelie

Will try it with the Pro plug in... see if it still happens ;) could be a keen TC although at other times, I'm suprised how far up it lets the wheel come

My money's on your quickshifter use. I've had the bike do something similar a few times when I've not been firm or quick enough on the lever. Typically, if I'm not positive enough, the engine gets killed, but the lever hasn't moved far enough to actually select the next gear...

Foot on the lever in anticipation... that's the clue.

Personally, I don't use a quick shifter between first and second, its all a bit short gearing / abrupt / harsh ...

yes, think it could be that myself... but I'm sure its done it once when I've not been pushing it a bit, but with boots on, you can't always feel the thing... wonder it taking it up a spline might help?

And no... i dont use it either... not intentionaly anyway

I dont use it much at all.. maybe when I remember going up from 4th.. never much down. In fact, I'm not sure mine is working.... I could change as easy if not easier by doing the same on my R1

I actually do not like mine and hardly use it, to old school maybe. :nenau

took it out yesterday and did a lot of fast 1st to second starts, and nothing... so guess it must be my boot starting to push the lever up and triggering to electrics on the assist.... will have a look today and see if moving the lever up a spline workes or not....
