i have just got all the bits needed for a fit of two xenon de
the set up will be as follows
2 x micro de xenons bought for £230 from germany they come with relays loom etc touratech(tt) charge £270+ for one
they will be fit using the following brackets
http://www.bestrestproducts.com/cele...form/?recno=88
its the way tt do it
got these for that undertank arrangement laser cut and well worth $40 a pair (pictures on site of prototype not finished article)which comes with nuts bolts etc and excellant step by step instructions recommended
the switch a piaa from Nippys £17 nice red/green on/off led,s and fully waterproof
i do not want to splice into the main wiring loom so i will be using
a BMW splitter this is used to add an additional accessory socket to the instrument panel of the bike, but owners can use it to power anything they want. all you do is disconnect the built in accessory socket, connect the lead that was attached to it to the male plug on the splitter, and hook one of the female leads back up to the socket. You're then left with an unused female plug to use whatever way you like. The part number for this little gem is 61132316621 and then you dont splice anything it can be used for powering relays to lights horn etc and 15 mins after turning ignition off it looses all power (canbus) until you turn the ignition on again cost £12
you then only only need space for 4 wires (3 x small looms ) and a relay if you shorten the loom but this is not nessesary as you can use the tool bag compartment if you do not feel confident shortening wires
the lights will then be mounted to the new tank bars see pictures on this thread of hole positions etc pictures half way down page

i recken the whole set up can by someone with minimal electrical knowledge as the loom does not need to be shortened , if it is placed in the tool roll holder and all you need to do is connect 2 wires to a battery 2 wires to a socket and connect 2 wires for the switch making this a trully great set up that is fully portable can be removed and put on another bike
the end result is 2 micro zenon de fog/spot lights at the cost of £280 with no splicing and ballests neatly tucked away
will post phots once complete
