Is what it took me to get from Eastlink Bridge (O2/Point Depot) down the road to the IFSC yesterday after work.

Total 3.5 hours to get to Crumlin.

No traffic this morning at all - looks like everyone stayed in bed except me....

I know the feeling! I left Terenure at 14:00, to go to the airport. I gave up 18:45 when Aer Lingus cancelled my flight. I only got as far as Dorset Street.:mad:

for me;
last night it took an hour and a half to do what is normally a 15 minute commute. :blast
for the first time in 29 years - i walked to work today / not Biked.

i'm worried - i enjoyed it! :eek: ..
reckon the novelty will have worn off by the time i'm halfway home tonight though.

I did Donnybrook to clontarf. 90 minutes. Feet down at all times. Oconnell st bridge was really scary...didn't mind the straights, it was just turning that was the problem:eek:

agreed - straight line, easy by comparison to corners BUT...
for extra ... laundry problems;
try Harolds Cross bridge - blind approach and then...
sheet ice / downhill and no way to reduce your speed!

O'Connell bridge was brutal this morning again. I'm sure they gritted it but it didn't look or feel like it. Definate 4 wheels weather. The bike is tucked up in the shed.

You lads on 2 wheels are either very brave or complete lunatics. Be safe lads.....

I'm with essjay. Four wheels or the dart. Bike is plugged into trickle charger to save its ticker :D. By the way...... when did the trains stop having a dining car ? And there's no first class on the dart ! I had to sit with ordinary people :clap:clap:clap

Looks like tomorrow could be a bad one. Council are running out of grit and this freezing fog has already covered the car in ice & snow. Interweb telling me it's -4 in Dublin now so will be very slippy tomorrow.

Fresh this morning at 9am going to work. Just started snowing again a little bit in Dublin but Monday is supposed to be heavy enough.

Yep

Saturday - snow showers
Sunday - snow showers
Monday - "frequent" snow showers with it sticking

I'm bring the computer home and working from there if it gets bad.

I could bring the puter home but with the stock on the shelves in work there's little point. Ken needs the car as he's banned from the bike since the ear op although should be back up and running as soon as weather premits. So its either the bus or walking for me. Are you lot panicking buying all the grub in like all my customers, shop been wiped out everyday not that i'm complaining its a much needed boost. :D
