I'm having a bit of a bike reorganisation, and so consequently the above will be for sale, to make some room, and because the type of rising that Mrs Berin and are are doing is changing.

First up:
Asking £6000
KTM 690R, 1st reg 01/03/11 to KTM UK, and bought by me on 24/11/2011 with about 200 miles. It's currently showing 951km, with a speedo change at around 6000 miles (set to Km as the last trip was in France), and it has just been MOT'd, total mile around 7000 as the dash failed on a trip.
Always serviced before and after a trip, cam bearings replaced about 2000 km ago, most of the serving either at Premier Bikes or Torque. Wiring loom replaced and wrapped
At that time, KTM produced a 690 E, and a 690R. The R had longer travel suspension and a smaller dash. It has no ABS, no ride by wire, and had a spec weight of 148kg in service, so a fair bit lighter than than the later iterations, and much less than any of the current crop of 400-500cc adventure bikes so a really good base for an adventure and travel bike. It's only been used for longer trips which included a majority of off road, hence the miles are low and genuine. I've done 350 miles on the road in a day on it, and it's been far and wide on some very technical trails.
The bike has been through a couple of iterations, depending on the trips, but is now a fully specced out travel bike with all the right components, ready to go anywhere.
All of the recent work was carried out by Martin Wittering at Torque Racing. These bikes have a few well identified potential trouble points, and since I didn't want to be fixing a bike at night in Albania's Accursed Mountains, all are addressed.
I really invite inspection, and I can deliver by agreement, or if you want to know more, let me know.
As it's an unusual spec of bike, I'd prefer questions from interested parties looking to buy, rather than just interested parties!
Spec:
Exhaust
The OEM end can which runs hotter than the core of the sun has naturally been binned and replaced with an Akra, at a weight saving of several kg
Suspension
Front OEM, rebuilt and revalved by Torque, rear Tractive Extreme shock with remote preload, fully adjustable - this is somewhere around €1500. Note it's +25mm, the bike now has around 300mm of travel and so it does come up quite tall.
Cockpit/Nav Tower
Nomad ADV nav tower, Baja Designs Squadron Sport lights, dash with multiple device mounting options, Fuzeblock for switched/unswitched accessories,
Rally Moto/MSC steering fully adjustable for damping and return, with billet ignition mount
Circuit handlebars with a lower bend, on account of the steering damper need risers
Highway Dirt Bikes hand guards - these are the bomb proof, and have integral front indicators and fold-out mirrors, HDB top clamp with facility for switches/warning lights
New OEM KTM dash
Modified Leo Vince 3 way map switch - don't get too excited, it's just an ignition map - but useful with a low power "tractor" map for tough muddy climbs
Fuel
Rally Raid Evo 2 tanks (individually switchable), race-spec Samco hosing, Parker stainless steel QD's, Black Dog CW updated fuel pump, no-slop swivel breather hoses, Golan fuel filter. CJ designs billet rear fuel filler replacement as the OEM one would end up full of mud at every fill. The Samco isn't just for show, another similar spec bike boiled fuel creating vacuum locks in the desert.
Around 22l capacity, 220m before the fuel light comes on.
Protection:
Rally Raid upper and lower tank/subfame bolts, clutch saver/sprocket guard, gear lever, rear brake lever, braided oil hose, lower temp thermostat, side stand cut out bypass, rad guard
Carbon case savers
Adventure Spec full length bash plate which covers the rear brake master cylinder too
Highway Dirt Bikes hand guards - these are the bomb proof, and have integral front indicators and fold-out mirrors
Ergonomics
Very trick levers, adjustable, flex up/down, made by a German guy whose name I can't remember now but took 2 months wait and cost a fortune.
Pivot Pegs
Custom Memory foam seat, like seat concepts but better, Touratech comfor seat also available
Symtec 2 way heated grips, that fits under the fitted Rally foam grips
Luggage
Touratech racks, which also brace the subframe. Perun Moto rear rack and rear rack extension, racks have a welded on bracket to fit a tool tube (supplied)
Other stuff
Dirt tricks front and rear sprocket, rally front mudguard (also unobtanium), side stand exender. The custom graphics are not perfect but there's a brand new set, not fitted, with the bike. Twin air air filter, reusable. Tyres are good Michelin Anakee Wilds, fitted with HD tubes
All the original parts are included, plus whatever spares I have.
