The earlier exhaust sizes can be a real pain in the arse. Most of the 1000cc bikes from your bikes year have 40mm downpipes. The later bikes (81 onwards) mostly have 38mm pipes. You will be very limited in the systems available for your bike, unless you strike lucky and stumble across something.

I have made some brackets to make the down pipes longer because the new dunstall silencers were sticking on the brake brake lever it is all good now Sean
