Mod 2 in a couple of weeks....

Did my mod 2 on the schools pan European after never riding it before :ROFLMAO: .

I'd done all my lessons on a cb500, and my first test (which I failed miserably) on that too, but they'd changed the rules after that and it had to be a minimum 600 (I think). They were waiting for a Suzuki gladius but it didn't turn up in time so I got told I could cancel/change the test or have a go on the pan European. Passed.

They're all the same once your moving, probably easier in some ways as there's less gear shifting to do. Shoving them round from one bay to another in the mod 1 is a bit different though!

Congratulations on the pass, but when you start looking for insurance, do check the BMW insurance as it was a lot cheaper for the first couple of years when I got my license and went from a 125cc I'd bought to get more experience, straight onto an R1200GS after finding one at the right price when I went to look at an F650GS.

17th is the big day - thanks for the preemptive manifestation though! I hadn’t thought of BMW insurance - will check them out. Stu

Just had a look at BMW's own insurance myself and was pleasantly surprised. I think the other quotes I'd had were in the region of £500+ and with a ridiculous £800+ excess. BMW underwritten by aegis was £450.
