Excuse my ignorance but! What sort of bike is the Yellow time keepers bike?

Thanks Mike  It is a model we do not see out here, or they change the tank.

I assume you are talking about the KLV1000. It was available in the UK last year but seems to have been deleted from the 2006 stock list. I've never seen one on the road though.

Kawasaki & Suzuki have various joint ventures and the KLV is just a Suzuki Vstrom with a few cosmetic mods.

A guy at work bought a new one a few months ago, talk about mixed identity machine.

Suzuki frame, Kawasaki badges and finished off in KTM orange.....

Needless to say he only kept it a few weeks and P/Xed, he hated it with affection. :(

Saw a few in Naxos last year while I was out there being a general super-hero.

Very very nice bikes - I'd have one. No idea why they have deleted them from the UK list - idiocy.

Weren`t selling,mate.

Curiously....I preferred the look of the KLV to the V-Strom.

The ones I saw were black/black & silver - I thought it was a killer looking machine.

Have to do various Commisaire courses etc and the British Cycling WEbsite will help you. Also helps of you have an understanding of the game of cycling and its various racing guises. Would have to start with a course in the |UK before yoyu ventured further afield. Triathlons are always looking for keen outrider volunteers. If you are merely out for a ride you would be a bloody danger to those of us clad in lycra while you parade about in full protective leather or cordura. There are some real mupperts and cowboys out there.

I`ve only seen the orange/black ones.

Like `em........wouldn`t buy one,mind . :D

+1 on what Andy said above.

I've done quite a lot of outrider duties including the National Road Race. Whilst the speeds look low, the level of concentration required is very high. Especially in the UK where races are rarely held on closed roads.

Thank you all. :) :) I am sure that we never got that model over here. The outriding looks like fun, i used to race push bikes (all be it some years ago) and I would love to be invloved in some way again, so will look into it down here.Thank you all once again. :beerjug:
