A couple of mates and myself are heading off to Germany/Austria/Northern Italy on the Newcastle to Ijmuiden ferry on 25/8 , with our return date 2 weeks later.
I'm the only "sensible" one on my 1300GS, with one fella riding a Moto Guzzi V100 Mandello and the other a Honda Goldwing.
We have only booked the first and last nights accommodation, so we'll just see where the roads and weather lead us between ferry crossings.
One of the lads is convinced we'll see nothing but clear skies and the other - lets call him dark cloud
- is thinking the complete opposite. Me, I really don't care either way tbh. 2 weeks on the bike is good no matter what.
We have only a few "to do" places in mind as we go, but ultimately it's all about the roads we'll find.
If anyone spots us along the way, stop and say Hi. We should be reasonably easy to pick out with that mix of bikes and the fact that there's a short guy, a tall lanky guy and a slightly rotund guy among us.

His bike is a beautiful thing though.
