There's a thread on the 650/800 section here where FTR suspension are offering 20% off Ohlins suspension if at least 5 members of ukgser sign up for it and pay deposits.

They'll take anyone for the group buy that is on here and has a bmw, doesn't matter which model. I called this morning and prices are as follows:

All prices are plus vat, but there's 20% discount on these for the group buy.

Front £526
Rear £581 (adjustable rebound only)
Rear £754 (adjustable compression and rebound)

fitting is £80/single shock, £120 both shocks. You don't have to have them fitted.

Shocks will be set up with springs to suit you and your riding style.

You don't have to have the bikes all done at the same time, just have the deposits taken and you can then call them when you have the balance of the money and they'll order in your shock for you at that time. This is handy if you can't afford it quite yet.

If you're interested put your name down on the thread on the 650/800 section linked to above.

I was quoted £585:00 for an Ohlins, (adjustable compression and rebound) fully fitted and set up for the rear on an 1150GSA.

MCT suspension, Suffolk. :nenau

They might be worth a call.

the adjustable compression and rebound shock is £900 if you can get that for £585 id be very surprised
i spoke to mct a couple of weeks ago they said about £700 for the shock with rebound damping and hydraulic preload i suspect this is the one they meant and again id guess they meant plus vat

I fitted front and rear Ohlins to whattons bike at the hogroast in a field in less than 30 mins, and in front of an audience.

In March this year I bought a front and rear Ohlins (w/Hydraulic remote) from this bloke :

for the equivalent of 905GBP delivered (to Australia)

Hope it helps,

Phil

Hi Phil,

yes, I contacted him for prices a little while ago, the problem here in the UK is that we get stung with import duty and then 17.5% vat on top of that. If you can find anyone who can bring a set back in luggage or similar then he's way cheaper, but getting it shipped over would be a gamble with customs and excise.

Now, if I was going on holiday......:augie

Just checked the reply I had from Kyle, prices (at today's exchange rate) as follows

Front £420
Rear (rebound only) £462
Rear (compression and rebound) £601

Shipping £84

So, fancy rear and standard front plus shipping = £1021

If you get tax it's up to £1199 plus import duty, can't remember how much that is, plus post office handling.

It would end up costing about the same as our group buy here, unless you find a way to bring them in without C&E finding out.

hm... just as an information, will you be able to know how much it will be for a R1100S, front and rear: BM 205 and BM 842?

Thanks in advance.

Agreed. I managed to fit mine and I'm a retard.

I'm not sure about that word ... it may be more useful for you to list your areas of difficulty, that way we can all better support you :D

I'm guessing your fine motor skills are good given you were able to fit the suspension.
