Totally fucked up...

My 28.5 hours straight on an HP2e involved very little food and drink - You get in the zone and just do it, some get it some don't.

Exactly. Most on here are only jealous they havnt got the muscle to do this sort of thing any longer without an afternoon nap and a drip feed of sanatogen :rob

Arguably it's a bit daft but surely we've all had immense pleasure of a doing a long journey in a very short space of time. Maybe it's just a 300 miles cross country trip with with one stop and in your Personal Best time, or maybe like in this case it's a cross continental journey in a day.

We are all capable of doing different things . Doing it once is achievable and not as stupid as some are saying , especially if it allows more time at your destination. Doing it every day on a tour would be crazy. However, those who attempt to circumnavigate the globe in record time do those sorts of miles day after day and they don't die or kill themselves. :thumb

Well done Pat :clap

You're a bloody liability doing that! Riding dehydrated and tired isn't big or clever especially speeding. I did 720 miles in one day last week and drank at least 3 litres of water and had regular food and coffee stops. We'll done for not killing anybody though!!
::bow:bow:bow:comfort

720miles in one Day ? On Guernsey you must have been dizzy as fuck

Shut the fuck up you Nazi Prick, ( bet you're a Fucking Born again Biker):rob

Riding Dehydrated WTF !! never heard of an accident being caused through Dehydration:nenau:blast:eek:

so when some guys on bikes did Leicester Sq to Red Sq and back in 7 days for charity i suppose they were a bunch of idiots as well?:thumb2

One of the biggest Problems today is that no one pushes themselves anymore ? :clap

WELL DONE PATZX12 ( ignore that prick )
My Personal best 1940klm in 18hrs

WELL DONE THAT MAN AND ON A CBX 6 LEGEND
just a ps: yeah i know i am new here and just getting my subs sorted so ill probably get some slack for that, whatever ??
but i ain't no armchair rider, lots of bikes, lots of miles, lots of experience, i just cant stand pointless put downs

Rides like this are memorable for a variety of reasons, I did the San Siro to Harlow in Essex in one stint a few years back after watching a Champions League match. Went through 7 countries and only stopped in Harlow as I didn't think I could get back to Scotland without sleeping. The only person that died that day was Patrick Swayze, his name kept being mentioned by all the foreign radio stations on my Cardo.

Well done Pat, some on here won't take their bikes out in case they get: Wet, dirty, dusty or might get devalued by putting an extra 4.5 miles on the clock.

Or the fact that riding their bike for an extra hour prevents them from being on here to add bile to the threads about immigration, which some would appear to enjoy more than riding.

You Sir are a biker, keep it up and well done.

JimmyMac

Regardless of whether doing that kind of mileage in a day is sensible, it makes for a shit ride report. ;)

You may have never heard of one but but i bet that dehydration could be a causal factor in many RTAs

I have no problem with the guy doing that mileage ,in fact big respect for doing it, but i know for a fact that riding my bike dehydrates me. Why this is I do not know but it does and i know or can feel the effect in my riding when it starts.

My personal best is 530 in a day but that was without motorway or much big roads and i was Knackered at the end of it.

Would I want to 2000KM in a day ? No i don't think i would but if pushed I am sure i could but big slogs on motorway is not my cup of tea thanks

But I drink and eat during the day so not a real biker like you, fucking gobshite . Crawl back under your rock

What Rushy said :beerjug:

Each to their own and well done Pat.

I've done some big mileage days in the past when needed - not anymore though, don't find the pleasure in it.

Bike's a stunner pat. Glad you enjoyed your spin, think about 13.5 hours straight is my personal longest and I was quite pleased with myself. Each to their own in how they enjoy their ride.

:D Well this thread made me laugh, thanks for that.

As for all the pansies going on about hydration and all the other bollocks, we are all different, some of us can do this sort of thing, others cannot, just a shame that those who cannot have to fuck it up for those that can, because those that cannot do it are the lowest common denominator and we are always on a race to the bottom, soon we will all be treated like fuckwits and wrapped in bubble wrap lined with cotton wool.

Well done Pat, good bike, good ride:thumb2:beerjug:

As for the naysayers/limp wristers/envious/fuckwits.....Well you can all just fuck off back to nursery school, grow a pair if you can, however I doubt that.

I bet we enjoy ourselves more.

But not of not if you like covering long distances in a short time.

In which case they wouldn't enjoy your option.

Each to their own.

I really enjoy covering very long distances in a short time (hence my old Moroccan dash, one day through france, second day through spain, third day into morocco, and that was with large groups) and i get Pats ride completely. 17 hours in the saddle to torromalinos, great memories.

Good one and great fun. :thumb2

The feckwits don't get it, never will..

They judge everyone else on their own limitations and imaginary dangers. :D

880 mls in one hit, 2 up and the camping gear is my personal best. Not on the BM, I must say, but on the mothership ZZR, and to be honest, we
Breezed it, plenty of stops for petrol , fags, and drink, and big numbers on the clock when we could get them in. Not sure if I could repeat it again, especially the big numbers, as things have changed that much, but good on em that can . Fuckin crackin CBX by the way, that definitely raises the bragging rights.:beerjug:
