So I've been going through the threads and have not really found what I'm looking for.
So this is what I'm looking at doing with the recent purchase of an r1150GSA non ABS with a bottom end bearing on the way out.
The gearbox and clutch are strong and I have an R1150rt-p sitting there with a strong motor and dodgy clutch and possible gearbox. I've been told a motor swap is easier than trying to fix the bearings so that's what I'll be doing. How ever while I'm going this far I thought I may as well re spray the gearbox as it has no paint left on it. Then the heads look a bit ratty so may as well do them then the sub frame could use a beef up while I'm at it.... do I change the FD and paralever colour ,re spray motor?. Where do you stop?
So yeah It's going to get a bit full on but I can't find any build threads like this for info and ideas so am wondering if it would be worth while documenting this journey or are there already threads out there but I'm not using the right wording in the search bar?...
Also I' new here so have not figured out how to upload photos yet to write about each photo so yeah bear with me....
