Hi, just bought a 2003 R1150GS Adventure, any views on the best engine bars for protection ?

Should be loads of info if you search but as from what I've read and used.....
The genuine BM bars can flip the bike onto the petrol tank in an off with obvious costly consequences:eek:
I have them on mine though (coz thats what it came with) and they have done the bizz when it's got away from me at walking pace:P
Hepco & beckers are good (had them on my 1100) and arguably provide better protection but the finish aint the best.
Even with crashbars you can still knacker your rocker covers in a gentle spill so you might wnat to consider fitting some of steptoes headguards first and then bars if you need more protection.
Decisions, decisions:D

Well its not going to be BMW bars, called my local dealer priced up left side , right side , and middle bit, total cost for the full monty BMW bars up toward £550, can you believe it?? perhaps I will just take my chances.
