Hi

I bought my bike about three years ago and have not flushed the brake fluid in that time. I have seen a video on you tube which made it look easy enough but thought I would ask just in case there are hidden problems or things to pay attention to.

Straightforward if without the ABS. Just bleed as you would any other.

I've never done a GS/RT with ABS, but believe it is a little more complex.

Yes has the ABS fitted so that has to be flushed as well.

there is plenty on the internet about "Flush BMW Servo ABS" or "Fluid Change BMW Servo ABS"

Just remember that the Handlebar and foot brake flush to the ABS unit and then the ABS Unit flushes to the calipers

If you open a nipple at the caliper and expect the fluid to disappear from the handlebar or foot brake reservoir you are going to be disappointed and very likely out of pocket as the servo really really really do not like that and are quite often scrap

If you are unsure, just get the JVB-DVD for the production year of your bike:

http://www.jvbproductions.com/

It shows and explains the brake system bleed and all other normal service tasks. I had never done a brake system bleed before on any vehicle, but could do it without problems by using the DVD.
