While trying to adjust the headlight on my 2005 BMW R1200 RT, I heard a 'pop' as one of the threaded bolts which adjusts the headlight snapped.
As a result, the headlight is tilted much lower than what it should meaning I can't ride the bike at night.
To fix, my BMW dealer have quoted £525 for a new headlight unit supplied and fitted.
Just wondering before I go down this route, has it happened to anyone else before and if so, is there another way of repairing same as opposed to splashing out on a new unit?
Advice appreciated.
