Hello
I have just bought a 2008 F800 GS to go allongside my 1150 GS , the dip beam has stopped working, it had a Xennon conversion which I thought was the problem it was wired into the original plug which plugs on the back of a normal H7 bulb, the earth from the plug is good and if I put a meter on the feed side of the pug it only shows just over 8 volts, the main beam works fine and when I checked the feed to the main beam it was just under 12 volts. when the main beam is switch on I can hear a relay click (although I have not found it yet) I usally do my own maintenence but this is the first bike I have had with a CanBus.
Anyone have any ideas please??
Thank you in advance
Andre

CAN bus has nothing to do with the electrics. That's a popular misconception.

There are no relays other than the one for the starter motor so if you are hearing one it is not stock.

So I did away with the Xenon headlight traced the wires back cleaned everything back and now the headlight dip beam works again!
