The Convention On Road Traffic - extracts below - desires to facilitate international road traffic and to increase road safety through the adoption of uniform traffic rules.

Your country may not have signed up to the convention (contracting party) and it may be "legal" to have these fitted in your country, however when you travel from a country were these are legal into a country, were these are illegal, then be prepared to be stopped by the police (eg France) and be fined.

Then again feckim

(b) Displaying an amber light may be used only when the vehicles genuinely assigned to the specific tasks for which they were equipped with the special warning lamp or when the presence of such vehicles on the road constitutes a danger or inconvenience to other road-users. The use of warning lamps displaying other colours may be authorized by domestic legislation.

Those lights look like a good idea but the sequence don't make a lot of sense to me? When he's braking the lights flash but they seem to flash when not braking also?

Checked my "58" plate rear light cluster to find the same problem. This can't be a good idea can it?? If someone behind you isn't concentrating then they won't know you're braking!

even if you are concetrating if the sun is in the wrong position it masks the difference between them.....and thats with the rider (me ) concentrating, gawd help you if the bloke behind is daydreaming or relying on peripheral vision to pick it up...

I fancy a set of these.

Two mounted in my handguards and the other two mounted on my crash bars. Thinking of hooking them up to the Nippy Normans Centech fuse panel.

I'd use them sparingly. (when traffic buneches up suddenly on the motorway or perhaps when filtering) :augie
