Euro 3, think you get a Crit d'air 2 sticker. My V5 doesn't have emissions so it was done by date. Just fill out the form and send copy of reg doc via their form. Didn't really take long for mine to arrive.
I was going to ask the same as I'm hopefully riding (hoorray!) through France soon, but not stopping in major cities.
To be fair I've driven the car (no sticker) multiple times in the last year sans issues.
Think there are large areas as well, down Grenoble way for example. . I think they are only needed if the area declares excessive pollution then the stickers come into play. It's bloody confusing as different countries do different things and enforce it differently.

Just came back from a trip in the Vosges area. We (my wife and me) didn't have the sticker, gave us no issues at all. Also I didn't see any French motorcycle with a crit d'air sticker, even among cars (French and foreign) the sticker was present in maybe 50%.
Two years ago we were in the French alps (south of Grenoble). On that trip we also didn't have the stickers and didn't have any issue, even Cannes was fine without.
