At 40,000 miles my front discs are near the wear limit.

Has anyone replaced theirs? Any advice on what my options are regarding replacements please? No EBC disc's are available yet. Do I have to go to BMW for discs?

We allocated the part number MD818 for this disc - its the type where the
rivet that the mounting bolt passes through to secure the disc to the wheel
( on the earlier model the spacer and washer were a separate item ( part
number MD687) We had a problem where by the ABS ring cannot be fitted with the design we had for the later type disc, we are still looking at the
design but have no delivery date for it yet

Thanks for the link but I think they are the pre 2008 discs.:(

I needed new discs for an 08my 1050 Speed Triple I had and they weren't yet listed by EBC. In fact they were unaware that they had changed in 08. I took a disc to them for a pattern and they made me a set FOC for "being so helpful" :augie

RRP £205 each

Thanks for the reply, but I had a day off work so fitted new ones. Had to get BMW ones though (:eek, lots of money) as no one (other than BMW) seems to do front discs for the 08 on model.

What mileage had the speed trifle done Paul?

They weren't knackered Bob ....... I was fitting an 08 front end to an 05 bike and the front end came minus the discs. I sold my 05 discs to a mate who needed them to replace her warped ones. Her 05 Speedy had done 45k at the time :D

Not all Sunstar discs are shite :hide

I think the earlier discs were better Paul. 35000 miles on my first ST and the discs were in fine fettle. The discs on the 2004 ST warped after 10000 miles.
