Hi All,

Hope this is the right section for my query.

I recently bought the above bike and have found that the orange dashboard backlight is working intermittently. Not a major problem but like a lot of you out there I like things to be tip top. I've sprayed the main connector and all of the remaining lights / indicators work fine.

Cheers,

John

Day or night? They turn off in day light, and light up when it is dark - if that makes sense? So I am not sure if you are riding at night and having no dash light intermittently, or it is working correctly...

Dash lights work on a light sensor so tend to come on and off as you ride, shady lanes, tunnels etc but should stay on when it gets dark. Think the switch thresh hold/sensativity can be adjusted, have a quick read through the owners manual ;) sure someone will be along to correct me if not.
If they are are not working when its dark or flickering then could be an internal fault with the dash circuit film rather than a plug connector. Think a few people have changed the colour of the dash lights so try a search see if any info on that.

Light sensor is next to the trip meter select/reset button. To test it just cover it with a finger or shine a light on it when dark to see if the back light switches on or off. As said above, riding through a shadow can turn the back light on butt is has to be for about a second or so before the switch is made. Have fun playing with it.

Thanks for that - think I might just cover my sensor over.
