Hi all,

I hope this is the right place for this post. Thought we'd let you know that Lisa and I have just published our 2010 motorcycle Adventure Calendar, with all new images from Central Asia.

http://stores.lulu.com/2ridetheworld

It was tough to choose which images made the cut but we're pretty excited by the results. Wind swept Monglian steppes, the Gobi Desert, high mountain passes on the Pamir highway (the roof of the world) and Russian sweeping bends, this calendar has the lot.

It was quit a challenge publishing the calendar as we've been in Eastern and central Asia for months and internet is non existant or appauling at best. it took us 5-days straight just to upload the images to the publishers server. 7am to 1am the following morning:buds

So if you fancy helping us raise a little gas money or you just feel like picking yourself or someone else up an early Christmas present. Drop on by our new online store. You can click the calendar and or the 'preview' button for a month by month showing of the calendar.

http://stores.lulu.com/2ridetheworld

Right now we're in Dushanbe, Tajikistan waiting for our Turkmenistan Visa's and then we're off to Uzbekistan, Turkmenistan before entring Iran. We managed to get our Iran visa's last week. Yeah, we were a a bit nervous about this one.

So, lket us know what you think of the Calendar and a big thank you in advance to anyone who purchases, it'll buy a few extra miles of fuel and we are truly grateful.

Cheers for now
Simon

Excellent

:thumb2I'll be buying one. Inspiration every day. Just got to find the dosh and the time off now ........ hmmmm:mmmm

hey Tonkatoy...

Hey Tonka'

can you do me a favour?

Have you ordered one yet?

When you do can you pop up a post here and then let us know when you get it?

The cost and delivery times listed by lulu seem almost too good.

Also what do you think of the shop front????? Does it work for you OK. Was the ordering simple/straight forward and also did the preview option work.

The connections here in Tajikistan are so slow, that we really can't see much or get a good sense of stuff 'working', loading anything is like watching a snail fart!

thanks.

Cheers

Simon

Just ordered one so I'll let you know when it gets here:thumb Looks like a really nice calender and the pics look superb. Ordering was nice and easy so no problems there.

I'll probably get another when it arrives as a Christmas pressie for my cousin in the US :D

Enjoy the extra miles......

cheers mate

Hey Bilko and Wreford...a big thank you.

It all helps. let us know what you think when they arrive. By teh way Wreford what was the cost of P&P for two calendars from the USA. Curious?

Cheers

Calendar looks good. Not too sure about LuLu, but I ordered anyway, using the PayPal option. Hopefully it will be delivered before year end :toungincheek What with US International Postal Service, UK Postal Strikes, reduced delivery services etc ...

Keep up the good work you two !

Eminently jealous ..

Lulu...verification...SSL etc

Lisa checked out Lulu and they 'use' all the right encryption - secure socket layer stuff...no idea what she was talking about really..but I nodded and agreed :) We went into this in detail before we chose them as our storefront. With Lisa being a computer IT analyst we had more information than most - one of Lisas 'areas' of professional expertise back in the UK were SSL - encryption - privacy of data etc etc.....

However just incase anyone is concerned about their CC info etc - Lulu's membership agreement and Privacy pledge states that:
Your Ability to Edit and Delete Your Account Information and Preferences
General

* You can edit your account information at any time. You can remove your credit card information by clicking the “Remove credit card information” link in the Account section of the My Account tab.

.........................................
so literally you can take away your cc information whenever you want or as soon as you have placed your order- of course not before payment has been verified.

Hope this allays concerns.

Redditch ring road and photoshop that is.

Where's me free one tosser:bounce1

PS You two alright and still having fun:hug

great...

Wreford...bloody hell, £3.50 seems cheap for two calendars shipped from the USA to the UK, but great!?

Hope the upcoming postal strike doesn't screw things up.:(

We're already on Twitter, we're under 2ridetheworld on Twitter, just do a search, it should find us.

.............................
Vern you knob chomping hamster Humper:ymca, where's my free panniers:augie?

Yeah, we're doing good, finances are scary but that's the world over, everyone's having a tough time. Eastern Russia, Mongolia and Central Asia have been mind numbingly incredible. Beautiful doesn't even come close. A GS riders wet dream.

We're just desperate to stay out on the road for as long as we can.

Go and the read the diary, you'll see what we mean, better still buy a calendar for the loo wall.:beerjug::hug, so whilst you're taking a dump you can think of us....eegghhh, I've just made myself feel dirty!!:blast

Cheers mate

Re 'calander'

Hi Simon & Lisa,

Have only just tuned in to your fantastic journey of a lifetime.

Watched a few of your posted clips over the past few days,

I wish you both the best of luck with the rest of your epic

journey/s. Two days of clips and just orded a calander!

Have a few miles on me!

Good luck,

Ratty:thumb2

thanks

John, we spend most of our days looking at where we are, taking photos and saying to ourselves..."people aren't going to believe this landscape"?????

Ratty, a huge thanks, much appreciated. If you get bored you can see a few more vid's here: http://www.2ridetheworld.com/video_vault.htm

Busy working right now on the Mongolian vid, it's a bit intimidating as we have so much video. It's all shot just with our little cannon still camera but we're hoping it'll look OK for the web.

Cheers for now
