don't see why not, but what about the exup valve on the 2010 model, you are going to loose it ?
Im turning the bike into something special and so its completely stripped, im not fussed about the valve as im fitting a pc3 amongst many other things and having it set-up on a dyno, and ive been offered a brand new full akro with titanium shotgun cans but its for a 2009 bike.

Not far out.. R1200S and Rear wheel Hub machined to give correct offset .

that should look and handle really well. been wanting to do this, but the rims alone are a liitle out of budegt at the moment. will make the GS a superbike B-road killer. post some pics when you done. you going to need to machine the center stand and move the exhaust out also...
red-line, centre stand is ok on the 2010 bike probably because ive put 180/55 on rear, and i now have a akro race system the one with twin shotgun cans and pcv and ive adapted a pc quickshifter so clutchless upshifts, ive got lots going on with it at the mo as its in bits and once finished will post some pics.
The wheels are mint twas a evil bay bargain £400 came with P road2 tyres i sold the tyres for 100 notes, and stuck some sticky dunlop sportsmarts on, and replaced the front wheel bearing for some quality ones, these will be replaced at some stage with some bst's

if so what the power and torque figures like compared to standard as im the process of doing the same to my 2010 gsa but im was going to go for a pc 5 with full arrow system and auto tune kit no noise flap !!!

Ayup andrew, no the bike has had no dyno time yet its in bits and my winter project, pcv is the same as yours i did think about the autotune kit but not sure just how good it is for the cost must be about £250 with the extra sensor!! maybe you can let us no, my man who does the dyno set-ups is andy at junc33 ..and is mustard with any bike.
Im sure your aware you can remove the cables out the motor for the valve really easy, just remove the 1 torx screw from the front and unplug con and the motor push's out from the frame on the reverse side just remove 2 torx screws and the cover will come off, now remove cables, i did unplug the unit from the connector and start bike no fault light on dash, however it probably stores fault code in ecu.

SLOW!! i work too many hours and have no play time
ive been spending the odd hr in the eve replacing nearly every bolt thats replaceable with either stainless or titanium, and today several boxes of bling turned up
auto tune
got my pc and auto tune fitted today quite easy but time consuming to make it look like original. looking forward to trying it and going to dyno to check it out had a quick spin on it seamed to go well but to soon to tell .

Andrew, keep us informed what you think about the autotune, your arrow was it for a 2010(with link pipe for valve) or 09 bike.

besides the R1200S, which other rims would work on the 1200gs
Red Line, 1200RT wheels fit and the front clears the calipers, as the r12s dont you have to modify or remove a couple of mm off the caliper and touch up with some mat paint its not so much a problem i was fully aware they would catch, you can buy RT wheels much cheaper i did buy a RT front for 60 notes from evilbay.
I did the wheel conversion to my old GS back in 2006. I used wheels from the R1200S.
The problem was, it reduced the bikes ground clearance and lean angle, so i found i was grinding the pegs far sooner than with the standard GS wheels.
Which defeated the point really.

yeah i can remember that bike, it was your posts yonkyo that got me into converting them, and what ive found if you have not got the sag correctly things touch down! but than again stock bike with engine bars also touch down! but you have to be riding spirited to get this to happen and most peeps will never touch anything down unless the sag is well out!! ideal you want 40mm-50mm rider sag on these bike for rd riding i have esa and i can get the correct sag.
