Guys, as some of you already know I took ownership of my 2010 GSA last week and I am dead chuffed (though I have kept my GS coz I love that too).

Anyway, the first thing I have made for it is a pillion seat plate to protect the BMW plastic one underneath. I rarely ride with a pillion and I know that chucking stuff on the plastic cover is just going to dent and damge it so I have made a substantial stainless plate to cover it (it`s 2mm thick).

There is no drilling/welding/f*cking about/ to fit it and I think it does a good job and looks pretty good. The closest I could get to something else on the market is the Jesse version but at £125  on evilbay and the fact that I don`t think it is as well made as mine I personally think it`s a rip off (I normally don`t slag the competition off but honestly I think £125 for what it is could be a rip off but that`s just my opinion).

It fits using 4 rubber nitrile lined (so it doesnt mark your GSA) P clamps and as usual everything (including the fasteners and clamps) are in stainless. Hope you like it - once again, if there is some interest I will think of a price (won`t be nowhere near f*cking £125) and I`ll bang it up for sale! At a guess I would say about half price of the Jesse one but I am yet to crunch the numbers.

If I do sell them they will come with the GSA logo on and not the BMW Park Lane logo on it - that`s just me name dropping coz I now supply into that dealership and they think I am The New Messiah after seeing the BBQ of Lurve :bounce1 (the Kindly Gents ordered the thick end of a grands worth of stuff - and it`s an awesome dealership to boot, really nice guys!)

Looks good Mark:

Good idea! Any news on the inner pannier toolbox type thingy!! :thumb

Mark,

I'm interested when you get things number crunched :)

lets hope it goes with my crud cathcher :D

Box and price

LBL - I`ve put the rear seat pillion plate on my ecommerce site at £54.99 - ish (or something like that) www.cymarcbikeparts.co.uk

re the box, sadly no progress yet - I have the panniers (came with the bike!) but as yet simply haven`t had the time!

They are on the list at number 3 after:

1. A bespoke job for Toad.
2. An extending rack for a chap in South Africa
3. External panner tool box

If you're doing an extending rack for a GSA then put me down for one of those as well:thumb2
