Does anyone have a list of exactly what is new on the 2010 model?
I know about the engine, the exhaust flap and the screen adjusters.....

Ask your local BuMW dealer?
Strangely enough I did that. They don't really know apart from the engine!
Apparently BMW didn't give an extensive list!

I was in a BMW dealer Saturday looking at the 2010 GSA....
...the differences are obviously split between being compared to a pre 08 GSA and a post 08 GSA.
The differences that I can see, as compared to my 06 GSA are...
..the obvious engine change, different head protectors, oil filled from the other side, the 'ported' exhaust, ESA, which mine hasn't got and wasn't available, black coating to cylinder heads, different rear light assembly, small indicators, different head stock/ bar assembly, shorter beak, 'vented' panniers.....and that is about it.
..compared to a post 08 GSA, that would only read as the engine, exhaust, and black head coating, oil filler on other side, and head protectors (mostly engine again really)....so very little.
The dealer did say that about £1,800 of the increase was down to exchange rate and increased costs due to the 'economic situation'.
I was left feeling that near £15,000, if you go for all the packages and the panniers, which most surely do, was a lot of money for something not too different to mine?
.....but my impending test ride may convince me otherwise!![]()
Big improvement in torque.Ed, does this mean you have cleared a space in the garage next to the RR for a new one?
What about the old one with all that authentic African dust on it, not getting rid of it? :-(
. Even the missus has been giving me a hard time about it, unfaithful to the machine that carried you across Africa etc....Don't you give me a hard time about it as well, I'm feeling guilty enough as it is!

. had a test ride on friday and was very impressed. I've got an 06 GSA and the difference is huge in my opinion. The engine mods with the ESA make a huge difference to an 06. Picking the new bike up on the 7th. Can't wait

No-one's mentioned one big difference, it now comes in smoke grey, or shine yellow![]()

I saw the bikes at the Bike Show...and really wasn't impressed with either colour, but was especially disappointed in the grey.
However, it seemed to have grown on me the other day.....but say what you like....it's more like a smoke green if you ask me!!
The dealer reckons the yellow ones are selling well though, the better of the two colours apparently....though it wouldn't be my choice.![]()
Not keen on the colour options?
Simply remove the beak and tank cover. Take them to your preferred spray shop. Have exactly the colour you want for around £100.
I got fed up with the boring Gray colour, so i had it sprayed BMW Alpine White.![]()
A man of taste obviously
Had mine painted White within weeks of getting it...........

Taken off the crud catcher and added Remus front pipes and an Akra can since that pic![]()

Cost to change from my 07 model............thats the big question
The BMW brand as a whole seem very stable at the moment, with high demand and sales, and this will always give them a less urgent reason to haggle a deal.
