Location Update

I have just returned from the Angel Inn.

All weekend dates between the beginning of May and the middle of June are ok for 2011.

No issue with Space
Good facilities.
Has some B&B rooms

Happy for a band to be booked for the Saturday night there is a barn with a bar that can be booked if numbers warrant it.

Food

Will do Breakfast for a 2 hour slot both Mornings


Haleston Hotel great however no real local camping within 4 miles. Feel it would really split the hotel stayers from the campers.

Any other thoughts on Location
Snetteron have No 2011 calendar A weekend booking would be pot luck for what is happening at the track.

Just between meetings at work, so some random thoughts...

I like the sound of the Angel, but the hotel could be a problem for some. Maybe some of the other organisers could let us know how important a nearby hotel is, but to be honest I don't think it will be a deal breaker - I don't remember there being a hotel near the Hograost, for a start.

Did the Angel mention whether caravans and wobblyboxes are allowed as well?

Apart from that, how about calling it "Beet & Senseless"?

Thanks for all of this Trev. Looks like the Angel is the one to go for.

I don't think we have to worry too much about the facilities - they look as good as, if not better than the guys had at BWTI and everyone had a great time there.

My preference is for the early May bank holiday. Less going on generally and probably a slot where there isn't much planned in the way of UKGSER events. There's usually something good on at Snetterton that weekend too - Aston or Jag racing at the very least.

Do we need to put out a few PMs to other organisers just to confirm that we want to nab this weekend? Then plant the flag in the events section.

I'll put up a poll with the names so far on Friday. Voting over the weekend and then we have a name by next week. Looks like someting with either Beet in the title or Norfolk something.

Looks good Trev.............. but. As were just throwing ideas around/bouncing ideas off each other....... are you sure about inviting everyone to camp next to the busiest road in East Anglia
Ive got a new tent ( which i need to use before our first do ) but i also have a trailer tent with a huge awning which im prepared to offer up for use for us as E.A.H.Q for the weekend.
Are you gonna do a poll for the names ?
