2011 GSA Rocker cover protector cup bolt size please?

Hi all,

Got my 2011 GSA back from accident repair couple on months and today noticed two of the three bolts on the rocker cover protector cup were vibrating. They are the wrong size, they are slightly too small and appear to only be held in with an excess of sticky grease!!

Can anyone assist with the correct bolt size please?

I could go back to the accident repair people, but given my very poor experience with Fourth Dimension, I have sworn never to go near them again...

Do you mean this?

If so, three M6x25 Allen Head - although I'd put money on it being one or more of the spacers being absent...

If you go to Max BMW's online parts fiche it will give you all this sort of information. Bookmark it - it comes in very handy...

Would you recommend going back to BMW for the bolts or will local engineering shop suffice?

Can't think of any reason for buying them from a BMW dealer - other than wanting to give away several £££s

Really doesn't matter - they're bolts...

It might be the bolt is too long and has bottomed in its hole.
Swapping them around or at worst cutting 3mm off the end may be all you need.
