2011 R1200GS front brake disc bobbins

I’ve a set of brake discs from TSUBOSS their BW04Fi model and im sure that they look to need bobbins, can anyone recommend a set that I could use?

Tried reaching out to them as bought the discs off a good lad on here. So any suggestions?

Can you swap them over from your old discs? If not Motorworks sell them
I have a few old ones - but probably not enough to do both sides Inc doubling up. Let me know if you want them...

You'll need to know what thickness your discs are. Many pattern ones are 4.5mm, I believe OE are 5mm.

New discs are 5.0mm in thickness so think same as oem.

Is it 4.0mm min thickness on OEM?

How are the TSUBOSS discs on your Hexhead? I am after some replacements and as I don't do much mileage and wanted to save a bit on brembo prices. The link in your post no longer works, is there an updated link? Thanks

I never fitted them I’m afraid, I used my originals.

Happy to sell them if you wanted but you would need to get bobbins.

Hi Mark, thanks for posting back, I have ordered a pair of Galfer discs which come with bobbins. Good luck fitting or selling yours, Cheers Graham

You could try All Bike Engineering in Greenwich. I switched to their discs because I was going through the Brembos too quick.
I used to live in Ashford, Kent, and did a daily 110 mile commute to work in Cabary Wharf, day in day out, all year. They were handily placed to pick up a pair of discs on the way to work.
They were not bobbins fixed to the disc. Rather 2 "top hat" washers, one on each side with a wavy washer between the faces of disc and top hat. I have a few old ones kicking around the shed but they should be available from the likes of Motorworks, Motobins etc if you want new.

Which bike did you have out of interest?

I bought my current Gs from that area.

It was owned by someone doing a similar commute.

It’s now residing on the islands on west coast of Scotland.

I still have it, a 2008 R12000GS Adventure, now on 170000 miles. Prior to that I had a 2006 R1200GS, which I sold with something like 50000 miles on it.
The 06 GS was a replacement for a 2001 HD Dyna-Glide which had 88000 on it when I had done with it. ABE couldn't supply discs for the HD
