H guys, I've found a 2012 GSA that I like and would appreciate some advice please.

It's got full BMW Service History...... Last one a week ago.

Looks in excellent condition- ACF 50 always used etc.

Has a full set of luggage and tank bag

Has a few nice extras, tinted screen, Akro Exhaust, new tyres, sat nav mount and various guards etc

Only 8500 on the clock- all genuine and logged on service report each year.

Only sticking point is the price....... What ballpark should I be looking at. It's advertised @ £10995 and he won't move on price!

Also anything in particular I should be looking for problem wise?

Here are a few pictures of the bike in question.

That is BMW dealership money and you now get two years warranty with them. It does have a few farkles on it - if you like these, they may make it worth a few quid more.

11k fuck that
Way over priced more like 9500 private price
10500 dealer with full warranty yes

Yes overpriced is what I thought. I had a price of 10k in my head.

Have to say I'm not too fussed about the trinkets.

Mine is Same year as yours and mine is lower mileage. I'd be thrilled to get that kind of money.

I'd of expected closer to £9k

Agree this is a good bike but overpriced. To give you a comparison I bought my 2013 90 years with 7800 on the clock from a BMW dealer for £10.5k including a discount on a change to LED spotlights.

Try leaving a deal on the table in a polite way and if he hasn't sold in a week or two agree a time to catch up. That way he has a fail safe buyer and you get the bike you want....assuming someone else doesn't buy it.

Tops private sale with the can is £10k IMO. Good luck.

Thanks for the replies guys. I've left him an offer that I think is right. Ball is his now.

Just go to a dealer , buy a bog standard LC. Buy some secondhand cases. You'll have European breakdown assistance, the joy of "new", a warranty , And something quicker , more economical and with cheaper running costs.

It looks and sounds like a lovely bike, triple black?

If you look on the BMW Motorrad used bikes section, a few of them available for less money and similar miles. As others have said, you will get 2 years warranty from a dealer. Especially if you are not to fussed about the extras.

Think about an LC for that kind of money... Unless you really need the extra range or suspension travel...

I have a 2013 GSA with plenty of bits on, 12,000 miles, full BMW SH. I was told by a BMW dealer she was worth £8k trade in on a new K16. He said he'd price mine at £10k to allow him some haggle room. Make of that what you will.*

*NB I've had experience of this sales chap before and learnt to ignore anything he says. Not sure if that really helps?

Good luck, I hope you get what you want.
