Ez can with Chigee AIO 6 LTE advice please

Hello all.

R1250GSA on 2021 plate. I’m looking at installing a Chigee AIO6 LTE. Having read some threads about splicing it in etc. I decided based upon the simplicity and lack of cutting that Ez Can was the way to go.

I’ve updated the unit f which was very easy. However I am now presented with option to tweak the ezcan to suit the Chigee. I have no idea what I should be doing or altering. Videos I’ve seen on You Tube show a relatively straightforward physical installation. But little about tweaking the brains of the ezcan.

Anyone with experience out there who has fitted these units with some advice? That would be great? I thought this was just plug and play.

Why not just put the Chigee onto the NAV cradle with the BMW adaptor? Don't need an Ezcan for that?

I have the bmw adaptor. But the kit still needs wiring in.

The black and red wires from the Chigee go to the battery.

Take the yellow wire to one of the outputs from the EzCAN. Each of the outputs is a different colour plug. Take note which colour you’ve connected it to, and in the EzCAN software configure that output as an “accessory”.

You can also specify how long it will stay on after the bike’s ignition is turned off. Mines set at a minute.

To do the configuration you just install the software on your PC and connect to the EzCAN with a USB cable. It’ll guide you through the process, including updating the software version on the unit if it’s required

When I set the coloured plug as an accessory do I need to set fuse rates or anything technical,like that.
Good to know I can set how long it takes to turn off.
I struggle with this type of stuff so appreciate the advice

I can’t remember the rating, but I just set mine to match the fuse that’s supplied in the red wire

Ah sorry. I wasn't aware of that.

daesimps answered it below The Ezcan will just need to tell it when to turn on/off. You can see the fuse setting just below the channel, where you would set the yellow circuit to accessory for example
