In my swap GS to GSA I’m changing to the metal panniers, I’ve got the frame and majority of parts with the exception on the fitting items circled below. I’m sure I can use just normal nuts and bolts but like to use the proper fittings.

So before going to BMW and me calling out a wrong number wanted to ask if anyone’s got fittings kicking around?

Also anyone know if I can order by part number online as opposed to phoning and reading it all out?

Part number: 46547699778
M5x30mm filleter head screw x 6

Part number: 46547699810
M8x50mm filleter head screw need x 4

Part number: 63127699141
M6X40-A2-70 Fillister head screw x 2

Part number: 46547698986
Bush need x 2

Part number: 46547698985
Bush need x 2

Anyone got anything kicking about, I’m in no panic.

Last request, items in image 1&2 I have these clamps but they are not captive, it doesn’t list a nut for them (highlighted in green) below what are they is it simply an M5 nut and washer or they something else??

Ref 1&2 On all the ones that I have seen the nuts have been captive.
It’s odd, the ones I got with the frame don’t look captive

From what i can see there are like clip in captive nuts that mine are missing and they don’t show as individual to the full clamp. Oh well adapt some nuts it will have to be..

If you are not near to a BMW bike dealer but have a car dealer, you can order from there if you give them the part numbers.

Well that’s the last stage of conversion to GSA as panniers on.

Missed ordering two don’t bolts item 7 on the list M8 x 50 bolts partially threaded for the frame clamps.

Anyone know car grade of steel the standard bolts as o might try get a couple locally.

Normal grade of bolts used on cars etc is 8.8 this is stronger than stainless steel fasteners.
Socket head / Allen bolts / screws are usually 10.9 or 12.9 .
Happy New Year :)

I had the same issue. Had the racks and no fittings.

In the end, I found that Sierra BMW in the US had them and shipping to the UK was pretty cheap.

The one I needed for 2008 GS was 71607696176 "Set mounting parts for case porter

I was trying to piece it together but was struggling with some of the specialist bits.
