Has anyone who is still using MapSource found the latter to crash with the version 2013.3 map set?
Several members on the Zumo forum have reported this to be the case as well as a few members of Garmins own MapSource forum - I being one of them.
Some report MapSource crashing when planning a long route whilst another has it crash when finding a specific location. Out of interest I too typed in this location (Mondragone, Italy) and whilst MapSource located the place OK it crashed repeatedly when the zoom level was adjusted to 15km.
I contacted Garmin earlier this morning and, whilst the adviser was friendly enough, he was unable to offer a solution other than to use BaseCamp which a few of us are reluctant to do.
Unfortunately, there is also a bug in the Garmin Updater, either that or it was never intended to work as most would think.
Those having the Lifetime update maps facility will know from their account that previous map updates show as being available for download again for a period of 12 months. So, in my case I clicked on the download button for the earlier map set (2013.2) only to discover that whichever previous map set that one clicks download upon the Updater auto reverts to the latest map version which in effect makes a mockery of showing that earlier map sets are available for download for a period of 12 months.
The adviser confirmed this was the case but stated that this was out of Garmin UK's control and that any emails etc should be addressed to Garmin USA.
Anyone else notice this bug and, if located in the USA, have you reported, or considered reporting, this to Garmin on your side of the pond?
