2013 GSA - which road tyres?

OK - is it just me? Tried a set of PR3s on my GSA and loved the back one. Grippy, comfy, everything.
And hated the front! It was like riding on a solid rubber tyre. So stiff that every road imperfection came straight through - bl**dy uncomfortable. Tyre pressures made no difference. In the end, changed back to basic Tourance and back came the comfy front end. Anyone else had this problem?

I have PR4Trail on my 07 Adventure, I only have the bike a couple of weeks so I have nothing to compare to but I too have found the front tyre to be rock solid when riding over even the slightest bump or crack (I run 36psi in my fronts)

I got PR4 Tours about 2k ago. 2 comments the balance weights they had to use to balance both front and back are ridiculous! They stretch halfway round the wheel. (Spoked). 2nd thing and i suppose this is due to a different profile to the last tyres is that at crawling speeds you have to work harder on balance etc.. But, i love 'em. Inspire great confidence even having used them throughout winter. I ran them in the cold with lower pressures but they are now back up to 36, 42.

Comparing pr3/4 on Gs`s up to the new LC is not a comparison with the later LC which has a different size tyre. In my experience the PR3 was great on the earlier bike but the front Pr4 on the LC does not hold it`s line too well and tracks poorly ,the back seemed fine.
I`ve tried 4 different makes now on my 13LC and the Dunlop Roadsmart is now my preferred choice. It holds a perfect line works well dry or wet but if the road temp is a bit cold can take a while to get some flex in the side walls . The Dunlop is very overlooked and should not be dismissed on the LC. For one up riding (mainly Wales ) I run them at 2.3/2.7 and find them ideal for me and give that extra feel.
Hope this helps.

Balance weights are now steel - lead is more suitable but toxic. So instead of two or three lumps we now have 6 or 10.
